I understand that social media can be a fun and rewarding way to share your life and activities with family and friends. However, use of social media also presents certain risks and carries with it certain responsibilities. Please be respectful and post only appropriate and respectful content. Avoid using statements, photographs, and video or audio that reasonably could be viewed as malicious, obscene, and threatening or intimidating, that ridicule other individuals, or that might constitute harassment or bullying or violate any NHSRA conduct policies. Please be aware that violations of these policies may constitute dismissal from the NHSRA & NMHSRA. PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

Make sure your membership has been received & that all paperwork has been submitted online. Your membership will NOT be processed until all paperwork is uploaded to the Online system.  

You will NOT be allowed to compete unless ALL membership paperwork has been turned in. 

General Information:

ATTENTION ALL CONTESTANTS:

If you are taking college courses, the NMAA has stated if you fail a college course it will calculate into your GPA as 2 F's. This will make you ineligible to rodeo.

Strict enforcement of the dress code as stated on page 22-23 of the rule book this year. This includes parents and siblings as well, no shoes of any kind will be allowed.

Banner Schedule

Remember all student event directors are required to carry a flag in the grand entry. You are also required to hang sponsorship banners in the arena on Friday evening before the rodeo. You will receive a text designating the time.

NEW STUDENT DIRECTOR DUTIES

  • You are responsible for your event.

  • You MUST be in the arena for your event at every performance!

  • You should be available to contestants if a problem arises in your event, and be prepared to be an advocate for the contestant when consulting with the adult director.

  • KNOW YOUR RULE BOOK FOR YOUR EVENT.

  • If you are unable to attend a rodeo, assign someone to replace you.

  • You must inform the adult president and event director concerning your replacement. 

  • Attend all general membership meetings called by Student president.

  • Take down and set up all arena banners provided by the adult BOD during all rodeos.

  • Be prepared to help student officers with all fund raisers, community service, and general membership activities. Help officers decorate and plan for cowboy prom. 

  • Each student director is required to acquire a minimum of a $100.00 donation due to State Secretary before state finals.
